When Do YOU Decorate for Christmas?

When is to early to decorate for Christmas? I seem to hear this question a lot, or statements that often lead to this very question. Does decking the halls overshadow Thanksgiving and all that we are grateful for? Does putting up Christmas decor too soon mean that Thanksgiving is being overlooked, or that it is not being honored as it traditionally has been in years past?

Honestly, I don’t believe these ideals to be necessarily true. I think it is very possible that Thanksgiving can be grandly celebrated through traditions we establish in our homes. Whether the decor is strictly gourds, pumpkins, leaves, and fall themes, or it is decorated in all things Christmas. Or hear me out, a combination of the two.

Imagine twinkling lights mixed with greenery, gourds, fall leaves and signs that use verbiage such as grateful, thankful, and blessed. Can’t you just see it, oh the possibilities could be endless in marrying the two very special and magical holidays.

As for myself, I used to put the tree up on Thanksgiving day and spend the next week decorating the rest of the house with all things Christmas! As life and time have evolved I have adapted and started decorating the day after Halloween. Primarily due to the fact that I am a creator and I try to be a bit ahead of the game in order to create and inspire you. Sharing tips, tutorials, or kits tied to Christmas themes as to inspire creativity. It takes time to decorate and a lot of what I make and do is inspired through my creativity with which I love to pass on to you all.

Who doesn’t love some twinkling lights and the atmosphere that Christmas decorations bring into our homes? I am usually a theme girl and go from room to room trying to tie them all together. One of my favorite spaces is my nativity wall. It brings a peace and calm into our home that reminds us of the true meaning of what the holiday seasons are truly about.

Did you know there are emotional benefits by putting up holiday decorations early? Yep, that’s right folks, holiday decorations evoke feelings of joy and nostalgia. They can help create a festive atmosphere that uplifts spirits, especially during shorter, colder days. Not to mention that it extends the season of Cheer, starting early allows you to enjoy the holiday spirit for longer, making the investment in time and effort feel more worthwhile!

I absolutely think that decorating early means you get to enjoy that festive magic for longer, which is always a win! Let’s be honest–nothing feels quite like twinkling lights and holiday vibes to brighten up our days and nights! Decorating early means you get to enjoy that festive magic for longer!
